Naming Traditions
A personal name or full name is the set of names by which an individual is known and that can be recited as a word group , with the understanding that, taken together, they all relate to that one individual. In many cultures, the term is synonymous with the birt name or legal name of the individual. The academic study of personal names is called anthoroponymy. When former American President Bill Clinton went to South Korea to visit President Kim Young Sam, he repeatedly called the wife of the South Korean president as Mrs. Kim (her husband's name). While South Korean officials were offended by it, on the other hand the US delegation who understood the situation became ashamed of the misunderstanding.
